Monday started out with some Panera Bread breakfast to get the day moving! While it was delicious (as anyone might expect), I really need to stop eating out all the time. Tomorrow I’ll be hitting up the grocery store!
I think Sunday got the better of the car as I was tearing up US-129. In the morning I turned on the stereo to find that my subwoofer was no longer working. A little inspection in the trunk revealed that my $4 line output converter had failed. No big deal, I’ll just hit up the closest stereo store and swap out the bad one in five minutes. Wrong! The cheap one was a little different from the high quality one so I had to do some cutting. The problem is that when you have your car completely packed for a two month journey you have to do some unloading just to get to the amps. After some fiddling and an HOUR later with had some bump! I completely sweat through the shirt I had just put on and had to change.
Then it was off to Chattanooga, TN where I grabbed some lunch and drove up to Rock City. Great little area if you’re passing through and want a great view of 7 states at the same time! The drive there was not without incident of course. Yet again, for the second time in my life as well as second time in four days, an exploded trailer tire took out the front lip! The lip was still intact with just some more scrapes and another crack. I now have some friends taking bets as to how long until the next time the lip gets taken out. My luck is going to change I swear!
Lastly, I’m sitting here typing this post lakeside on Lake Allatoona on Red Top Mountain State Park just north of Atlanta, GA. No reservations and I believe I got the best campsite on the grounds! If you find yourself in the area looking for some camping then I highly recommend it! The Eno hammock is all set up and Im just trying to cool off from the hot car ride. Hopefully there will be a working AC in the car by the end of the week!
